Full Tilt Affiliates Now Eligible for Reimbursement

It appears all hope is not lost for the scores of Full Tilt affiliates left in the lurch in the wake of the Black Friday shutdown in April 2011.

According to the official website for the Full Tilt Poker Claims Administration, affiliates of Full Tilt Poker will be able to submit Petitions for Remission to recover the portion of their account balances that does not relate to their Affiliate status. Previously, affiliate accounts were flagged for non-payment, regardless if the funds in the account were from affiliate or poker activity.

Robin Ylitalo Wins European Poker Tour London’s Main Event

While all eyes are currently locked in on the World Series of Poker Europe, we have to take a quick look at the impressive winner from the European Poker Tour Londons Main Event. Not only because it was a very impressive win, but it came along with a nice pay day against a solid field also. When all was said and done it was Robin Yliatlo who had to grind out the final day of action over an eight hour span to grab the victory and take home the first place pay day £560,980. When the action started, we saw Ylitalo sitting in third place with some work to do with 2.795 million chips. While sitting pretty, Jeff Rossiter was the player everyone had to catch with 5.205 million chips, and then Georgios Karakousis with 4.39 million chips.

Clark Kent always looked ordinary when out in public. There was no hint of any powers, no sign of his athletic build, no suspicion that if anything the glasses he wore only magnified the destructive force of that eye-beam thing he had going on. But after a short stop in a telephone booth, or a quick dash down a deserted alleyway, he got the necessary lift to turn him into a superhero.

Phil Hellmuth has a similar transformative process, although he only needs to cross the threshold of a casino or tournament room to become something magnificent.

I saw him this morning on a trip to Starbucks. He had on his full battle regalia, dressed almost entirely in black, topped off by an Aria cap. But outside – out there – he looked distinctly ordinary.

WSOP.com Allows Players to Play Poker before Launching

Nadal To Debut In Live Poker

The coming of age of a poker player is when he plays his first live tournament. Top ranked tennis professional Rafael Nadal, popularly known as Rafa, will be playing his first live tournament in December this year. Nadal is a brand ambassador for the online poker room PokerStars and will be participating under its colors. The venue is the Prague leg of the European Poker Tour. Nadal participates in the U.S. Open tennis grand slam tournament in end August and beginning September. After that it is off-season for tennis professionals till the Australian Open in January next year. This gives Nadal sufficient time to further improve on his poker skills. Nadal is training under poker coach Alfonso Cardala.
