The walk out follows the resignation of William Hill’s chief marketing officer, Eyal Sanoff, and rumors that the gambling group will be relocating the unit to Gibraltar or the United Kingdom.

According to the Sun newspaper, a number of senior managers with the UK gambling group will face disciplinary action with regard to the William Hill staff walkout.

William Hill also confirmed that several other senior managers in Tel Aviv are now subject to disciplinary action in relation to the disruption of the marketing business in Tel Aviv this week as well as in the customer service and back office operations in Bulgaria and Manila.

William Hill also commented in a press release today stating that there was “no intention” to relocate their sales and marketing units to Gibraltar or the UK as speculated in the rumors.

Although senior William Hill online management are at present on the ground in Tel Aviv attempting to work through these issues, Israel is currently in the midst of a week long holiday and it may, therefore, be difficult for management to sort out the issues as quickly as they would have liked to.

The majority of employees in the Tel Aviv customer support head office of William Hill evidently had excellent working relationships with the group as well as with their colleagues in other countries.

The William Hill gambling group has reassured the public that there has been no disruption to its customer website “at present”.
